EKU Pantry
A native of Cadiz, Kentucky, Cody is a 2016 Graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion, with a Certificate in Asian Studies. Serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America), Cody is a TASK (Towards a Sustainable Kentucky) VISTA with Kentucky Campus Compact. He serves with the Colonel’s Cupboard, the On-Campus Student Food Pantry at Eastern Kentucky University as a the Client and Community Outreach Specialist.
Prior to entering service through AmeriCorps Cody was active throughout his undergraduate experience in community service work. He served as a four-time site leader for EKU Alternative Break program, including work on trips focused around the issues of Hunger and Homelessness in Washington DC and Jacksonville, FL. He was served as President of his Co-Ed Service Fraternity Alpha Phi Omega and was a founding Father of EKU chapter of Alpha Tau Omega. His service experience saw him recognized with a Bronze Presidents Volunteer Service Award in 2016.
In addition to his work with the Colonel’s Cupboard, Cody continually serves the community as a Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard. Cody is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Student Personnel Services in Higher Education.
